Heidi operates a chain of family-owned bakeries and coffee shops across the western Home Counties, with locations in Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire. The business was founded more than 20 years ago and continues to focus on creating delicious fresh produce using traditional ingredients.
The project
Heidi was soon to open a new central commercial kitchen in Windsor, which would be servicing six restaurants, including Caracoli in New Alresford and Foggs on the First Floor of Daniel in Windsor. The management team asked Environtec to assist them with their fire compliance before the official opening, which was to include the delivery of a comprehensive fire risk assessment.
The solution
Our fire safety professionals carried out an initial assessment when Heidi first purchased the kitchen, this provided the Heidi’s Management Team with a clear vision of what was required moving forward to ensure the space was compliant. We supported the client on their journey, providing expert advice at all stages. We installed and commissioned new fire extinguishers and emergency lighting as part of the process and commissioned and signed off their fire safety systems, culminating in a full Fire Risk Assessment ensuring they opened meeting their complete fire compliance obligations.
