Legionella Suite

We carry out Legionella sampling that covers all 58 species and serogroups for all types of water systems as a reactive process or as a sampling routine programme.

Potable (drinking water) Suite

We adhere to the standard tests carried out on potable water samples taken from inside buildings. These are:

• TVC 22 oC = the number of live bacteria at ambient water temperature.

• TVC 37 oC = the number of live bacteria at body temperature. The bacteria that grow are more likely to cause harm to consumers.

• Coliforms – a group of environmental bacteria that originate from animals.

• E. coli (also coliform bacteria). This is used as an indicator organism. Because E. coli does not live for very long in water, it can be an indication of recent contamination.

Pseudomonas Suite

Our healthcare services cover sampling Pseudomonas in accordance with Health Technical Memorandum 04-01: Part C: Pseudomonas aeruginosa – advice for augmented care units.

Pool and Spa Water Pathogens

Environtec’s skilled water hygiene technicians carry out routine microbiological analyses covering aerobic colony counts, coliforms, pseudomonas aeruginosa and E. coli to ensure that optimum water treatment conditions are maintained in swimming and spa pools.

Metals in Water

Water is tested for metals to ensure the water remains safe for operational use and drinking. We establish the scaling potential of water by testing and analysing metal content.
