Asbestos Project Management
Introduction
Environtec offers independent and impartial project management and supervision of asbestos removal from the specification and tender stages, through to the management of the removal stages.
This level of consultancy support not only offers our customers peace of mind but ensures cost effective and safe asbestos removal. The level of support very much depends on the complexity of the project and we always work closely with our customers to identify their precise requirements before the start of a project.
The project management services we offer include the following activities:
- Preparation and development of asbestos removal specifications including method statement;
- Preparation, development and appraisal of tender documentation;
- Vetting of contractors’ method statements;
- Client and enforcement authority liaison;
- Site management and supervision of contractor by project manager;
- Analytical management and asbestos air monitoring for duration of project including four stage clearance and issuing of certificate of re-occupation; and
- Preparation and development of project completion report and updating of asbestos register.
Competency and Experience
Project management services are delivered by a range of employees, from senior managers qualified to the Certificate of Competence in Asbestos (CCP) with at least 5 years experience to site supervisors qualified to S301 – Asbestos and other fibres and have significant industry experience.
Analysts are also employed and are qualified to BOHS proficiency module P403 – Asbestos fibre counting and P404 – Air sampling or asbestos and MMMF and requirements for a Certificate of Reoccupation following clearance of asbestos and have relevant industry experience.
