Asbestos Database Management


Introduction

We understand that many of our customers, particularly those with large numbers of properties, need to manage their assets through the use of a management or asset system, often based on the web or as a standalone system – it is the only way to manage large amounts of data effectively.

 

We have developed our services to ensure that asbestos related data is transferable either onto our own web based systems or onto our customers systems.  We believe this flexibility is crucial in ensuring customers can manage their properties effectively.

We currently offer the following database solutions:

 

1. Environtec Web Database

The Environtec Asbestos Database is a web based data management system that stores and records asbestos related information and other compliance related data. The system is accessible from our home page by use of a secure log in to a dedicated and mirrored server hosted by Environtec.  The web site is fully customised to meet our customers’ requirements and includes access to a real time calendar of survey dates, on-line invoices and payment options and reporting functions.

 

The system offers our customers a wide range of benefits that include:

 

  • User friendly and easy to navigate
  • Real time compliance information including graphical representation for each property
  • High level management reporting function
  • Live asbestos registers that can be updated following review or re-inspections
  • Document library for storage of any compliance document
  • Contractors are able to review asbestos registers and plans prior to works
  • Continuity and consistency of data

 

2. Customers Database Requirements

We are able to work with any specific customer requirement for asbestos related information to be transferable to other software systems.

 

There are a number of options for data transfer including data to be entered directly into customers systems – this can be accomplished by either using hand held technology provided by the customer or by administrators entering data directly into the system.

 

Alternatively, our consultancy team can develop and implement either a spreadsheet or a Comma Separated Value (csv) template that can be delivered to our customers that ensures all relevant information can be uploaded efficiently into any database system.

 

Competency and Experience

We employ a dedicated team of database and software managers that are responsible for ensuring asbestos related information is delivered to customers either via our own or our customers’ databases.

 

We have worked extensively with a wide range of database providers to ensure survey data is transferable and are confident that there is a solution for any electronic delivery requirement.
