Air Monitoring & Four Stage Clearance

Environtec is one of the leading air monitoring service providers in the UK today with a national mobile fleet of laboratories. We provide a comprehensive inspection and airborne fibre monitoring service to ensure that asbestos removal contractors are operating in line with regulatory requirements. This service ensures that any removal or remediation has been carried out to the highest standards by conducting initial site audits, thorough visual inspections and air monitoring upon completion of removal works.
The following air tests are available within the airborne fibre monitoring service:
- Reassurance air tests
- Leak air tests
- Background air tests
- Personal air monitoring
- Four stage clearance leading to certificate of re-occupation
These services are offered on an emergency basis and are available to customers 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
Air monitoring paperwork and certification is completed using digital pen technology and is sent to customers within hours of project completion ensuing instant evidence of due diligence and compliance.
Competency and Experience
Our inspection and airborne fibre monitoring services are accredited by UKAS which ensures conformity to ISO17025 and are carried out in accordance with HSE guidance including HSG248 Asbestos: The analysts’ guide for sampling, analysis and clearance procedures and our in-house procedures.
All analysts employed by Environtec hold the internationally recognised BOHS proficiency module P403 – Asbestos fibre counting and P404 – Air sampling or asbestos and MMMF and requirements for a Certificate of Reoccupation following clearance of asbestos and have relevant industry experience. Our more experienced analysts work towards the BOHS occupational hygiene module S301 – Asbestos and other fibres and have significant industry experience.
