The construction industry and its associated trades are intrinsically linked to the asbestos industry, historically with the application and installation of asbestos containing materials and more recently with its management and safe removal.

 

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) considers the construction industry to be particularly vulnerable in terms of exposure to asbestos and hence frequently endeavors to raise awareness of the risks and appropriate control measures.  The most recent HSE campaign “Asbestos – the hidden killer” was designed to increase awareness of the risks associated with asbestos in the construction industry and in particular to tradesmen such as joiners, electricians, plumbers etc.

Principle Contractors

We deliver a wide range of services for predominantly major refurbishment projects and act as principle asbestos consultant to plan, manage and supervise the identification and safe removal of asbestos, including analytical attendance, prior to the construction phase.  Additional services include delivery a wide range of standard and bespoke asbestos training courses.

 

Designers and Architects

We work closely with various stakeholders at the design stage on a wide range of construction based projects.  The principle services offered include desktop studies, projected budget analysis, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys, project management of asbestos remediation and training.

 

Asbestos Removal Contractors

We work extensively with licensed asbestos removal contractors throughout the UK and deliver a national inspection and airborne fibre monitoring service to assist with the safe completion of asbestos remediation projects by conducting a wide range of air tests including re-assurance tests, leak tests, personal tests, background tests and four stage clearances.  All our analysts deliver these services via a fleet of mobile laboratories and use digital pen technology to ensure that paperwork is issued as quickly as possible.

 

Civil Engineers

The majority of our experience with civil engineering projects involves the surveying, sampling and inspection of structures such as roads and bridges that are required to be replaced or modernised due to the potential presence of asbestos containing materials within them.

 

Demolition Contractors

Demolition projects, whether large or small, require input from a competent asbestos consultant and to this end, we have many years experience with the identification and safe removal of asbestos containing materials prior to the demolition phase.
