Environtec Ltd is pleased to announce the opening of a new UKAS accredited laboratory in Scotland.

Due to continued business growth in 2010, Environtec Ltd has established a laboratory in Scotland adding to the existing laboratories in Essex and Nottinghamshire.  The laboratory will be connected to the fully operational office in Hamilton, North Lanarkshire and will be overseen by the regional manager, Mr James McPherson.

The laboratory will be managed and staffed by bulk analysts qualified to BOHS P401 with experience of analysing bulk samples and will offer a range of services including:

  • Drop-In Service – wait while samples are analysed
  • Urgent Analysis – samples analysed within 24 hours
  • Routine Analysis – samples analysed within 72 hours
  • Water Absorption Testing
  • Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) Analysis
  • Asbestos in Soil Testing

The laboratory services will be delivered under the auspices of the company’s UKAS accreditation for Testing (2030), and hence in accordance with ISO/EIC 17025:2005.

“Our operations in Scotland have been a great success and to ensure that we build on this success we have decided to establish a testing laboratory.  This laboratory will not only ensure that we can deliver surveying and sampling information to our customers more efficiently but will also offer other organisations opportunities to have bulk samples analysed cost effectively”

John Meates, Managing Director.
