Who is it for?

This particular course has been designed specifically for company directors and focuses on the legal aspects of the regulations.  Each session is tailored to ensure relevance to the delegate’s organisational arrangements.

Course Content

This course is designed to deliver the necessary information required to have an appreciation of the legal duties of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and focuses on Regulation 4 - the duty to manage and the importance of the Asbestos Management Plan.  Each session includes the following elements:

1. Properties of asbestos
2. Types, uses and likely occurrence of asbestos and ACMs in buildings
3. Health issues in relation to asbestos exposure
4. The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 – the duty to manage
5. The dutyholder and their responsibilities
6. Case law
7. Enforcement agencies
8. The Asbestos Management Plan
